Terms of Service
Terms that apply to inquiries and services from Dependable Highway Express, Inc.
1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms of Service govern use of this website and apply to inquiries about, and services provided by, Dependable Highway Express, Inc. ("Company"), including commercial freight transportation, full truckload services, less-than-truckload shipping, regional and interstate trucking, freight brokerage, and shipment coordination. These Terms apply where relevant to the specific quote, shipment, transportation agreement, or commercial arrangement. A separate written agreement, quote, or other commercial arrangement may contain additional or different terms for a particular shipment, and not every provision below applies to every shipment.
2. Transportation inquiries
Submitting an inquiry or freight quote request through this website or by email is a request for information only. It does not create a booking, confirm a shipment, or obligate the Company or the customer to any transportation service.
3. Freight quotes and pricing
Pricing is not published on this website. Any freight quote is provided for the specific shipment described and is based on the information supplied by the customer. Quotes may change if shipment details change or are found to be inaccurate, and are subject to the terms stated in the quote or applicable agreement.
4. Shipment details and customer responsibilities
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipment information, including freight descriptions, weights, quantities, and pickup and delivery details.
- Customers are responsible for informing the Company of any requirement relevant to the shipment.
- Customers are responsible for having authority to arrange the shipment.
5. Pickup and delivery arrangements
Pickup and delivery arrangements are discussed and confirmed for each shipment where applicable. Customers are expected to make the freight available and accessible at the arranged locations and times.
6. Freight documentation
Where applicable, shipments may require documentation, such as shipping instructions or other transportation documents. The documents required depend on the specific shipment and arrangement.
7. Cargo handling
Where applicable, cargo handling responsibilities for a shipment are determined by the specific shipment arrangement, the applicable agreement, and applicable law.
8. Accessorial charges
Where applicable, additional charges may apply to services beyond the basic transportation described in a quote or agreement. Where such charges apply, they will be identified in the applicable quote, agreement, or invoice.
9. Invoicing and payment
Services are generally intended to be paid on an invoice basis, with payment terms stated on the applicable quote, agreement, or invoice. Customers are responsible for paying invoiced amounts according to those terms.
10. Deposits or advance payments
A deposit or advance payment may be required for certain shipments or arrangements. Where it applies, it will be stated in the applicable quote or agreement. Not every shipment requires a deposit or advance payment.
11. Scheduling and transit estimates
Any scheduling information or transit estimate is an estimate, not a guarantee, unless a specific delivery commitment is expressly stated in a written agreement. Timing can be affected by factors outside the Company's control.
12. Shipment changes and cancellations
Requests to change or cancel a shipment should be made to the Company as early as possible. Applicable terms, including any related charges, depend on the specific quote, shipment, or agreement.
13. Freight brokerage and shipment coordination
Where freight brokerage or shipment coordination applies, the Company assists with planning, communication, and arrangement of the freight movement. Any additional terms for brokerage arrangements will be set out in the applicable quote or agreement where relevant.
14. Cargo claims and liability
Cargo claims and liability are subject to applicable transportation law and the agreements that apply to the specific shipment. Customers should notify the Company promptly of any suspected loss or damage and provide supporting information, as required by the applicable agreement or law.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, and subject to any applicable transportation agreement, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or from transportation inquiries. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
16. Use of this website
This website is provided for general information and to submit freight inquiries. You agree not to misuse the website or submit information you do not have the right to provide. The website does not provide shipment tracking, online booking, or customer account features.
17. Governing law
To the extent legally applicable, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles, and subject to applicable federal transportation law.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date above shows when they were last updated.
